Struggling.. Already.

Hi all,



My name is Jayde, I'm 20 and have been doing the Tony Ferguson program for 3 weeks. My starting weight was 73.3. I had my three week weigh in yesterday and lets just say I didn't do too well. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue around this time and how they got themselves back on track.



My main issue is cravings. I give in too easy. Plus I crave EVERYTHING. Also, if I see food or something I relate to food, I want it, especially when I see drive thrus. I was also wondering if anyone has any tips to overcome these cravings.

    Hey Jayde, (Nice name!), Have you tried the Chromium supplement? It is designed to help stop craving sugary foods. At the end of the day I think it gets down to will power. Normally after you have been on the program for a few weeks consistently, weightloss will start to level out- some people will remain the same or gain but I think staying positive (as positive as you can be) is the best thing. Think about smaller goals and rewards- after losing 5kg say buy yourself a nice dress or get your nails done or something like that. If you keep thinking about how good you feel in those moments. I honestly think it really helps. Good Luck!

    Exercising is supposedly relaly good for you and should definitely help keep you out of depression. There were several times when I was just itching for a run, went running, and felt great afterward. Even though your appearance is not changing, it's great that your cholesterol is lower and that you have low energy. (If you're only 20 and have high cholesterol, it might be related to family history, and there's not too many natural things you can to do about that.)When it comes to changes in appearance and losing weight, in my experience it's 20% exercise and 80% diet. You have to eat lots of fiber and whole grains, eat less than before, and exercise. For me, exercising was the easy part. As long as you are a person who doesn't get sick too often and has energy, I wouldn't worry too much about weight, unless you have a family history of something that would be greatly reduced by weight loss.     It's not very llkeiy. It's much more llkeiy that you are just freaked out after your dad's heart attack, (which is a perfectly normal response) and that is making you see signs of heart attack where they may not exist. Is there someone you can talk to about what you aare experiencing? Maybe someone who can help you work through your anxiety about it? Like your parents, a friend's parent, your doctor, or a school counselor.
