Getting Started FAQs

I'm ready to lose weight, but what costs are involved with the Program?

If you choose to join in person at one of the our centres there is a once-only membership fee of $15.

Each meal replacement shake sachet costs $3.25 and each soup sachet is $3.20. You’ll need two sachets each day, but that still works out to less than $46 per week.

You can view the cost of other optional products here. Delivery charges apply, but you can also buy your products from any Tony Ferguson Weightloss & Wellness Centre or Terry White Chemists®.  

If you find the new Progress phase of the Program is for you, there is no additional fee when you move onto this, however you will need to buy the Progress Book, at just $9.95.

How many meal replacement sachets do I have to order at one time?

We’d recommend you pick up at least one week’s worth of meal replacement products, say 14 sachets, so you can keep to your program, but you can even buy individual items if you wish. There are no minimum quantities when ordering online or via the website, but please keep in mind that you pay for postage with each order, so we suggest ordering a minimum of two weeks to offset this cost. (28 sachets).

Are there a variety of flavours to help vary the Program?

Yes! There are 17 flavour choices and you can mix and match them as you like to keep your Program interesting. Our soups are Asian Curry, Creme of Chicken, Field Mushroom, Roast Pumpkin and Mediterranean Tomato. Our shakes come in Banana, Chocolate, English Toffee, Espresso, French Vanilla, Mocha, Café Latte, Strawberries and Cream, and Wild Berry.

Additionally we now have two delicious soy shake flavours - Chocolate and Espresso.

How important is it to use a multivitamin and mineral supplement during the Program?

Our shakes and soups provide a significant portion of your recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals. However, to make sure you’re getting everything you need it’s important you get the remainder from the food component of the Program in combination with our Tony Ferguson Balanced Multivitamin. You’ll feel better and more energised!

What options are available for delivery of the products I order?

Your deliveries will be sent via Australia Post. Flat rate standard postage to all areas in Australia $9.95. Once your order is processed and paid for, delivery will take around 3-5 working days.

Express Post delivery is also available, flat rate express to all areas is $20.95. Please indicate on your order form if this service is preferred.

Remember, with so many conveniently located centres, you could easily drop in and get started today.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept credit card payments, money orders and personal cheques for mail order deliveries. Cash is also accepted wherever you can purchase our products in person.

Personal cheques take five days to clear and we are unable to send your order until then. To pay by credit card, either order online, fax your details to us on (02) 4722 8811 or phone us with your details on 1800 612 644. We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners and Bankcard.

Will the product interfere with any medications I am currently taking?

For most people the products are unlikely to interfere with any medication however for people with epilepsy, blood clotting, low or high blood pressure, diabetes (adolescent, Type 1 or Type 2), thyroid and hyperlipidaemia (cholesterol), cancer, gall bladder conditions or gall stones, liver or kidney disease, gout, gastro-intestinal disease, depression, heart disease, angina, cardiac arrhythmia or taking warfarin or any other medication in relation to any of these conditions please consult your doctor before embarking on our Program and also read our Health Considerations page for more information. 

Can I go on the Program if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are unable to go on our Program. The Program doesn’t provide sufficient energy and nutrients to sustain both mother and baby. Do talk to us once you stop breastfeeding – it’s the ideal way to shed those unwanted baby pounds.

Can I go on the Program if I have kidney (renal) problems?

Those with kidney problems may take part in the Program provided they do not have specific protein or fluid restrictions, or their doctor hasn’t asked them to make other specific dietary modifications. If any of these are the case please obtain written consent from your doctor, then come in and see us.

I have high blood pressure; can I be on the Program?

Yes, this Program will help you lose weight and in addition, may assist with your blood pressure. You will need to get permission from your doctor to go on the Program and your doctor should monitor your condition on a regular basis.

If I have had a heart attack or stroke, can I go on the Program?

Yes, but only six months after your stroke or attack. You will need to get permission from your doctor to go on the Program and your doctor should monitor your condition on a regular basis.

Will the Program boost my sex life?

As your weight comes off and your energy levels increase, you’ll feel much better during any type of physical activity, including sex.

Can diabetics go on the Program?

People with Type 2 diabetes can enjoy the Program using the specially developed diabetic plan. We would encourage these customers to make regular visits to their doctor while losing weight to manage their condition and ensure their medications are adjusted accordingly while losing weight.

Can children use the Program?

We accept children into the Program as long as they have the approval of their doctor and have passed the pubertal growth period. Our Program will help educate children about healthier lifestyle options, making it a positive change for good.
